Who is the driving force behind Equi-libi?
Ann Magnus has been active as an entrepreneur for more than 25 years. Out of personal commitment, she started a voluntary audit on corporate social responsibility over five years ago. These efforts did not go unnoticed: her company has been awarded a gold EcoVadis rating for several years now.
Driven by a strong desire to contribute to nature restoration in Belgium, she founded the non-profit organisation Equi-libi together with her husband and son. Their conviction is clear: nature restoration starts with the soil. That is why the ground is carefully prepared first, as the foundation for everything that follows.
In collaboration with experts, a clear vision was developed for the first five hectares. Not a series of isolated measures, but a well-thought-out multi-year plan focused on sustainable nature restoration and strengthening biodiversity in the region.
Our mission
A safe natural place is created where:
- nature can restore itself
- there can be balance between people and nature
- businesses can contribute through carbon compensation
- people may rediscover their story in peace, silence and connection
- There is a belief that nature is not a luxury, but a necessity.
In a society where speed, performance and social masks are dominant, this place aims to allow people to slow down without judgment.

What are our objectives?
The aim is to find the balance between two worlds: nature and people with their activities.
In a world overflowing with CO2 reduction, busyness, carbon footprints and environmental targets, still being active as an entrepreneur with respect for nature is sometimes a difficult balance.
This is also where the name of the non-profit Equi-libi comes from:
Equi, as in equilibrium or balance
Libi: the name “Libi” is rich in meaning and carries deep-rooted cultural and historical associations. Whether it refers to connection, love or freedom, the versatility and beauty of this name make it a valuable choice for many. In a world where names often seem to be just a number or a label, Libi invites reflection on the deeper values and stories that every name carries with it.
